A product of the USA and the only native Californian in the Band, Rob Elmore has been playing bass for over 35 years. Rob began playing bass in 1969 taking lessons from the long defunct Dales Music in Los Alamitos.
This is the BEST rhythm section in the Sacramento Valley. "I love playing with these guys" Rob states, Bob's drumming and Chris' guitar playing are second to none. Having Mo step in to front the band is icing on the cake.
Rob Plays Carvin, Fender, Warwick, Gibson and Ibanez basses favoring his Carvin 6 strings through SWR amplification. Rob owns one of the rare Buzzard basses jointly developed by John Entwistle and Hans
Peter Wilfer, founder of Warwick. Although a 5 string which John didn't play, Rob says "I needed the flexibility without having special tunings or Hipshot De-tuners".
Influences include John Entwistle, Chris Squire, Greg Lake, Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, Roger Waters, James Jamerson, Bobby Babbitt, Donald Duck Dunn, Roger Glover, Pino Paladino,
Tony Levin, Geezer Butler, Rocco Prestia, Dave Larue, Les Claypool, John Wetton, and others. |
