Bob, another product of the USA and an East Coast transplant, has played mostly rock’n’roll and
some funk and soul for 40 years.  He’s played everything from The Who to Hendrix to The
Temptations.  Throughout the years he’s played in many original rock bands too.

From 1976 to 1983 he played music full-time, mostly with a Motown and rock band.  Although not a
huge Motown fan he said learning how to play really improved his rock playing. That’s when he said
he learn how to play ‘in the pocket’.

He, along with Chris and Rob, were in the 10 piece horn band “The All Star Soul Express”, until it
recently disbanded, as the bandleader moved out of town.  They played old school R&B, and had an
entire Otis Redding set.  He said it was a really fun band to play in!

Bob knows he’s ‘the heartbeat of the band’, and lays down that strong solid groove necessary to play
the Who repertoire.  He says it’s great working with Rob on bass, as Rob knows how to play fast, yet
be powerful and be just right there!

Bob’s influences include Keith Moon, Ginger Baker of Cream, Mitch Mitchell of Jimi Hendrix, Bill
Bruford and Alan White of Yes, Ian Paice of Deep Purple, Neil Peart of Rush, John Bonham of Led
Zeppelin and others.  He said the most amazing drummer he ever saw was Buddy Rich.

Bob, like Chris, is also a sound engineer. He ran sound for awhile for some big rock bands.  Like
Who-Dunnit he’s always been into recording the bands he plays with, as he finds that recording and
listening to rehearsals helps him tremendously.

Bob had hoped to have a 20 piece drumset like Keith had, and now with his new Tama drum kits
(see below) he'll have that 20 piece kit, the chick magnet he has been looking for.
